Jardin de France stops off in six different countries

Niche brand Jardin de France unveils a new collection of travel-inspired fragrances christened Culture & Nature. Six destinations are proposed, and each one includes an eau de toilette plus five bath and body products (body scrub, body butter, etc.), with a beauty-ritual feel to them. On the menu: India, with Anandita; Brazil, with Inahé; China, with Shaiming; Madagascar with Diamondra, Russia, with Svetlana and Morocco with Hassana. While the packaging is undeniably successful, the fragrances are not unpleasant, but could be said to lack a touch of originality, or of logic in any case. For they have little or no relationship to the destinations indicated (e.g., Morocco is a light green-floral) or to the stated ingredients (Svetlana declares snowdrop and larix, but smells curiously like green fig). The prices however, go very easy on the budget. For more info: www.jardindefrance.net
